2.50.4 Working out how objects will move

A character can work out, through scientific knowledge and observation, how an object will move when another object strikes it or a mechanical lever is pulled. Essentially, the character uses a knowledge of Newtonian mechanics to predict the motion.

To do this, the character must make a dice roll using his/her Science (including predicting motion specialism) + IQ.

The difficulty depends on how obvious the motion is, from 2 for a simple motion (e.g. a ball bouncing simply off a wall), through 7 for a complex motion (e.g. predicting how the spin put on a ball will affect its motion) to 12 for a very complex situation (e.g. predicting the results of pulling a lever on a very complex assembly of cogs and wheels).
