3.4.3.4 Damage dice rolls while mounted

A mounted character striking with a melee weapon may gain a charging bonus on his/her damage dice roll, as a result of his/her mount's speed. The amount of charging bonus depends on the speed of his/her mount and the type of melee weapon used, as follows:

Charging bonus Slow (i.e. walk) Average (i.e. trot) Fast (i.e. canter) Breakneck (i.e. gallop)
Lance +0 +2 +4 +6
Spear or javelin +0 +1 +2 +4
Other melee weapon +0 +0 +1 +2

There is a penalty of -2 on the damage dice roll if the character's mount is agitated.
