• Running an adventure.

It also provides material that may be helpful during adventures, such as:

• Determining weather conditions; and
• Long-distance travel.

Finally, it provides statistics for populating the world with inhabitants:

• Common creatures (such as land animals, fish and sea creatures, birds and avians);
• Magical creatures (such as non-human races, undead, elementals, demons); and
• Typical human non-player characters.
