As part of their personality, characters often have codes of conduct by which they live. These codes comprise self-set rules about how to act and how to treat others. A character with a code will try to live to that code at all costs, regardless of whether he/she believes it to be the best thing to do. Failure to adhere to a code will cause remorse and guilt. Often a code of conduct will be linked to a character's religion. The referee should adjudicate how limiting a code of conduct is, and should award a cps value of between -1 and -5 cps for it.
