2.22 Intimidation skill
Governing characteristics: ST,
WP
Represents: The skill of forcing another person to act against their
wishes, through use of aggression or manipulation. Use of this skill risks
damaging the long-term relationship with the person, causing fear, dislike
or hatred
Broad specialisms:
- Direct physical threat (i.e. a direct threat made either implicitly
or explicitly of immediate physical violence to the person if they don't
comply with your demands, for example, grabbing someone and threatening
to hit them, putting your hand on your sword hilt, "Get out of my
way, or else");
- Indirect threat (i.e. an implied threat of unspecified nature through
creating a general sense of fear or threat to the other person or those
close to him/her, for example, "It would be a shame if anything
were to happen to your wife", "We don't want to hurt you",
staring down another person or psyching them out);
- Manipulation (i.e. through exploiting known character
weaknesses, for example, teasing, bullying, taunting);
- Torture (i.e. actual application of physical and mental
pain over a protracted period of time).

- Intimidating a particular person (or small group of
people with similar weaknesses);
- Judging another's Intimidation skill
