2.14 Athletics skill
Governing characteristics: ST,
CO
Represents: The skill of running, jumping and other sporty or athletic
activity. Includes other physical activities such as dancing and
contortionism.
Broad specialisms:
- Lifting (i.e. for encumbrance/carrying capacity and weight-lifting
purposes);
- Stamina (i.e. for avoiding becoming tired);
- Running speed;
- Jumping distance;
- Dancing;
- Acrobatics (for example, tight-rope walking, tumbling, gymnastics,
trapeze artistry).
Narrow specialisms:
- Contortions (i.e. twisting your body into unusual shapes, for
example, to escape from restraints);
- One specific type of acrobatic maneuver (e.g. tight-rope walking,
tumbling, gymnastics, trapeze artistry or resisting knock-back);
- One specific dance style (e.g. formal, folk, belly-dancing, etc.);
- One specific sport (e.g. football);
- Judging the quality of sports equipment;
- Judging another's Athletics skill score.

* Note that the basic lifting and carrying ability is determined by ST,
so ST is more significant than WP or Athletics for this.
